Russell Crowe is opening up to Joe Rogan about slimming down.
The iconic actor, 61, best known for roles in films like Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, and L.A. Confidential, made an appearance on the popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast and revealed how he managed to drop over fifty pounds.
“I was 126 kilos when I finished Nuremberg,” Crowe told Rogan about his upcoming film. “I’m 100.9 now.”
Crowe explained that in addition to focusing on diet and exercise, he credits a lot of the reason he dropped weight to the fact that Rogan introduced him to a platform called Ways2Well. According to its website, Ways2Well is a healthcare platform that combines everything from bloodwork and hormone optimization to stem cell therapy and peptide therapy.
“I’m not really across the science, but the real benefit I’m getting from these into my shoulders, my knees, and also IVs, is that it’s calmed down my body’s inflammation,” Crowe said, adding that he has years of sports injuries and arthritis.
Crowe Debuted a Slimmer Look at Wimbledon
Back in July, cameras first spotted Crowe looking noticeably more svelte on day 2 of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Tuesday. Joined by his lady love, Britney Theriot, Crowe ditched his typical scraggly beard for a dapper black suit and plaid tie with aviator sunglasses. With his gray hair slicked back and beard trimmed, the actor looked particularly healthy with his significant weight loss.
