Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street has announced the appointment of Ruth Raposo as the new hotel manager. Raposo, who has over 28 years of experience with Hilton, will manage the hotel’s operations, including guest services, staff management, and strategic planning.
Raposo’s previous role was as director of operations at Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort. Her career with Hilton includes positions such as director of front office operations and director of housekeeping at the same property. She has also held management roles at The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Hilton Boston Back Bay.
Raposo is a graduate of Hilton’s SHINE 2 development program for general managers, which has strengthened her leadership skills and strategic focus. Originally from Boston, she has been part of the South Florida hospitality community since 2012.
The appointment of Raposo follows a multimillion-dollar renovation at Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street. The renovation included redesigned public spaces, updated guest suites, refreshed meeting venues, and the introduction of TASTE Restaurant & Bar.
