Sabre Deploys Agentic AI Technology with Linex Travel After Ultra Group Acquisition
Sabre Corporation has implemented its MCP server, featuring agentic artificial intelligence, as part of Linex Travel’s integration into the Linex Loyalty platform. This deployment supports the development of a loyalty redemption marketplace for international banking and financial institutions. The MCP server enables autonomous AI agents to interact with travel systems, managing tasks such as ticket reissues, dynamic exchanges, and servicing updates that previously required manual intervention.
The rollout of Sabre’s MCP server coincides with Ultra Group’s transition to Linex Travel after its acquisition by Linex Capital, a New York-based private equity firm specializing in loyalty and rewards. Linex Travel manages rewards infrastructure for banking clients across 12 countries in Latin America. This week, agentic workflows began managing complex post-booking processes.
The Sabre Mosaic platform serves as the core technology supporting Linex Travel’s global expansion. The MCP server serves as a translation layer, enabling AI agents to perform complex travel-related tasks. Sabre’s technology is being used to address operational challenges in loyalty programs as customer interactions increasingly occur in conversational and AI-driven environments.
Linex Travel’s adoption of Sabre’s agentic AI technology is part of its strategy to build a scalable marketplace for loyalty redemption. The collaboration aims to embed loyalty functions into digital travel experiences, connecting rewards and servicing with planning and booking.
Sabre reported that additional customers are testing and piloting MCP-enabled use cases for operational and customer-facing applications. The MCP server was developed to provide a standardized way for AI agents to connect to Sabre’s platform and operate across shopping, booking, and servicing workflows.
