Oct. 23 is Fallout Day, which canonically in the game’s universe is when The Great War began and ended shortly after in a blaze of nuclear attacks. It’s a bit of a weird thing to celebrate, but retailers are using the date as an excuse to drastically cut prices on the popular post-nuclear roleplaying franchise for PC. Who are we to argue?

In case you’ve already played the base games, we suggest giving the Prime Video series a try. It’s faithfully gritty with great pacing as it follows multiple storylines that eventually tee up a season 2 that sounds very exciting (spoiler warning if you click that link). Also, the massive fan-made Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4 has proven to be popular, having recently celebrated attracting one million players.
