Scandic has opened The Dock 69°39 by Scandic, a new hotel in Tromsø, adding 305 rooms to its existing operations in the city.

Scandic has launched its sixth signature hotel, The Dock 69°39 by Scandic, in Tromsø, Norway. The new hotel features 305 rooms, expanding Scandic’s total room count in the city to nearly 700. This development nearly doubles the company’s presence in Tromsø, where it already operates two hotels with a combined total of 390 rooms.

The Dock 69°39 by Scandic is located in the Vervet district and spans 12 floors with a total area of 17,300 square meters. The hotel includes a rooftop bar, a wellness area with a sauna, and the Upper Dock Brasserie & Bar located on the 10th floor. Additionally, it offers eight conference and meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 8 to 200 people.

The hotel incorporates several sustainability features, including carpets made from recycled fishing nets and a heated rooftop running track designed for year-round use. It is certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and built according to the BREEAM Excellent environmental certification standards.

The Dock 69°39 by Scandic is Scandic’s third signature hotel in Norway. Other signature hotels in the company’s portfolio include Hotel Norge by Scandic in Bergen and Grand Hotel Oslo by Scandic in Norway, as well as Downtown Camper by Scandic and Haymarket by Scandic in Sweden, and Marski by Scandic in Finland.
