Selena Gomez and her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, looked unrecognizable while debuting their Halloween costumes on social media over the weekend.
Though Halloween takes place on a Thursday this year, several celebrities got in on the spooky season fun a bit early. The Only Murders in the Building star and her record producer boyfriend were among those who shared a preview of their costumes days before Oct. 31, with Gomez posting five snapshots on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 26.

In the photos, Gomez and Blanco embraced an Alice in Wonderland theme with their costumes. Gomez, 32, was dressed as Alice in a blue-gray dress, white socks and white heels. She wore a blonde wig with a large black bow tied on top of her head to complete her character’s look.
Blanco, 36, was dressed as the Mad Hatter. He wore black pants, a black shirt with white polka dots, a brown jacket and a purple and green scarf. He topped off his character’s look with a large bronze-colored top hat, a red wig and a full face of white makeup, mimicking the character as played by Johnny Depp in the 2010 live-action film.
The Wizards of Waverly Place alum and Blanco posed for five photos while dressed in their costumes, four of which showed Gomez sitting on a couch while Blanco stood on the furniture behind her. In some of the snapshots, they held hands while keeping their facial expressions in character. The final photo showed them sitting next to each other on the floor, their legs stretched out on the carpet in front of them as they gazed, unsmiling, at the camera.
“Curiouser and curiouser..” Gomez wrote to caption the photos, quoting one of Alice’s lines from the original story by author Lewis Carroll.
Gomez and Blanco were quickly dubbed the “Best dressed couple on Halloween 🎃🔥🔥🫠😍” by fans who commented on her Saturday post.
“You have won Halloween,” one Instagram user declared as another echoed, “Mics 🎤dropped! You both won Halloween!!!!! 🎃👻.”
“THIS IS SO ICONIC!!!” one fan gushed.
They each had “the perfect costume, you both look amazing wow 🥰🧡,” another fan said.
