Shake Shack shook things up in Toronto this year when the chain opened its first Canadian location at Yonge and Dundas and now, it’s giving us even more to be excited about. The iconic joint has announced plans for two more locations in Toronto and one is set to include something very special – a full bar.

Get your order ready, Torontonians! Here’s what we know so far.

Two more locations

According to Shake Shack, it will be expanding to two “iconic” locations in Toronto – Union Station and Yorkdale Shopping Centre, both set to open this winter.

The spots will come with their own unique features, too.

Union Station

“Situated in the heart of Toronto’s bustling transportation hub, Shake Shack Union Station will be one of the few locations worldwide to feature a full bar and cocktails crafted exclusively for Shake Shack,” shares the restaurant chain.

Train-goers can now enjoy a beverage and meal before a big game or grab something delicious while they wait for their ride.

The “thoughtfully designed space” will feature artwork by a Toronto-based illustrator, Pui Yan Fong.

“Pui Yan’s diverse background and passion for storytelling through illustration brings to life the energy of Union Station and the surrounding neighbourhood,” says Shake Shack.

Yorkdale Shopping Centre

Shake Shack Yorkdale will stand out with its own set of local art.

The space will include works from Vivian Rosas, a Toronto-based queer Mestizx/Latinx illustrator known for her “powerful depictions of feminism, empowerment, and diversity”.

Toronto has been incredibly welcoming, and we’re excited to further our presence in the city with these two fantastic locations,” says Billy Richmond, Business Director of Shake Shack Canada. “Both Union Station and Yorkdale Shopping Centre offer unique opportunities to engage with our guests in new ways, and we look forward to becoming a part of these lively hubs.”

Guests can expect iconic classics such as crispy crinkle-cut fries, mouth-watering burgers and of course, shakes.

While no opening dates are set for new Shake Shack locations, we can certainly start getting excited about this.

In the meantime, the Shake Shack at Yonge and Dundas can help satisfy that craving for you!
