Step aside Simon Cowell, there’s a new star in town.
The America’s Got Talent judge treated fans to a look inside his “glamorous” trailer on the set of the reality competition series, but it was one of his trailer guests that really caught everyone’s attention—including his own!
“Enjoy the tour, and the best part is, you get to meet Penny! Love, Simon,” he wrote alongside the video, which was filmed selfie-style and showed off the admittedly luxurious-looking interior, where a few of his colleagues lingered as they worked on their laptops.
Next to one of them on the couch, a Yorkie or Yorkie mix named Penny lounged contently, barely making the effort to look up at Cowell as he gave her her close-up.
“She’s so vain, that dog,” he joked.

It’s not entirely clear if the pup belongs to Cowell or one of his colleagues. The former American Idol alum is a known dog-lover, welcoming a pooch named Pebbles to his family earlier this year—which also includes furry friends Daisy, Freddie, Squiddly and Diddly—but he hasn’t confirmed if Penny is a new addition or a guest.
Regardless, fans quickly fell in love with his “adorable” trailer-mate.
“Penny is a winner,” one cheekily declared, adding, “her eyes are certainly puppy eyes.”
“Adorable!!” another agreed, before acquiescing, “Vain, but adorable!!✨😄.”
“I’ll leave you the trailer and take penny!” someone else tried to bargain.
Recently, Cowell also brought his son to work, where the 10-year-old nearly appeared as tall as his dad in photos from the red carpet.
