Sirius Hotel Group has named Matt Lederer to the newly created role of Director of Acquisitions as part of its strategy to expand its portfolio. The appointment follows the company’s rebranding from Resident Hotels and supports its focus on developing and operating prime city center hotels in partnership with capital partners.
Lederer brings experience from senior roles in professional services and hotel management, including Senior Vice President at JLL and Development Director at Marriott International, where he contributed to the growth of brands such as Moxy, Residence Inn, and Courtyard by Marriott. Most recently, he served nearly six years as Hotel Acquisitions Director at private equity firm Castleforge.
Sirius Hotel Group aims to grow its portfolio by more than 20 hotels over the next six to 10 years, targeting a total of over 30. The company’s strategy includes property conversions—such as office-to-hotel and hotel-to-hotel—and new developments.
