Fay Ebert

At the age of 14, Fay De Fazio Ebert is representing Canada in the Paris 2024 Olympics as the country’s youngest Olympian and rising skateboarding star. Here is what you need to know: 

Hometown: Toronto

Sport: Skateboarding

Background: Ebert competed in the Montreal stop of the Vans Park series in 2019 at the age of nine. That same year, she debuted at the World Skate Park World Championships. Ebert was close to advancing to the semifinals but fell short by just two spots at the 2022 World Skate Park World Championships.

Career highlights: Ebert was the youngest athlete at the 2023 Pan Am Games in Santiago where she became the first-ever Pan Am Games gold medallist in women’s park. In her second run of the competition, she received an incredible score of 84.66 points.

Where it all started: Fay De Fazio Ebert was eight when she first hopped on a skateboard, instantly falling in love with the sport. Following this, her parents took her to buy her first skateboard, which led her to compete in local contests across Toronto.

Fun fact: Ebert enjoys drawing and animating and will always be seen travelling with her ukulele.
