It’s always a fun time on The Rookie when Skip Tracer Randy (Flula Borg) shows up, and Tuesday night’s “Mutiny and the Bounty” episode is no different. And Parade has your first-look at what happens when Randy shows up at John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and Bailey Nune’s (Jenna Dewan) house to ask for their help.

The newlyweds are discussing the fact that they need a new roof, but it will cost about $15,000. Nolan, of course, was a contractor before he became LAPD, but he tells Bailey that they can’t DIY it because roofs are his “nemesis.”  So, it would be the $15,000 plus hospital bills.

As Nolan is walking out the door to work, he opens the door to find Randy about to knock.

“Officer John Nolan, what a joy to my eyes,” Randy says. “I need advice from my bestie. May I come in?”

John replies, “I know we are friends, but…”

“I think he means me,” Bailey clarifies. “What’s up?”

“I’m struggling with a major problem,” Randy says. “One that has plagued mankind since it rose from the primordial ooze and ate from the pornographic apple. I am in love.”

“Again?” John replies.

Randy says, “This time it’s for keeps. She’s the one. The future Mrs. Skip Tracer Randy.”

“That’s wonderful. I hope we get to meet her,” Bailey says.

“Oh, you already have,” Randy explains. “The object of my affection is none other than the beautiful, talented and unnervingly flexible Chastity Snead [Meg DeLacy].”

“My brother’s girlfriend?” Nolan asks.

“Half-brother,” Randy says. “Yes. When we were having the wonderful role-playing adventures together at your wedding, I felt a deep and powerful connection I can no longer deny. I love Peter [Pete Davidson]. Yes, he’s fine. Whatever. But I also wish he was a little bit dead.”

“Well, we’ve all been there,” Nolan volunteers.

Bailey gets them back on track. “Have you let her know this?”

“That is why I’m here,” Randy says. “I need your help. I want to make a grand, romantic gesture. What do you think she would like more, a giraffe or perhaps a purple Lamborghini?”

“Those are two very different, very expensive options,” Bailey says.

“I forgot to tell you…How silly of me. So, 10 years ago, a client paid me using a pretend wallet thingy on the computer. I checked it recently, and it turns out Randy Spitz is a bitcoin billionaire.”

John replies incredulously, “A billionaire?”

“Like a hundred millionaire. But that doesn’t’ roll off the tongue the same way,” Randy tells him. “Anyway, let’s brainstorm. What is the clearest path to Chastity’s heart?”

“We actually have to get to work. So maybe we could talk about this over dinner,” Bailey says, trying to put him off.

Then Randy volunteers, “Perhaps I give you $100,000 for 5 more minutes of your time.”

Thinking about the new roof, Nolan says, “Let me grab you a cup of coffee. Is it still four creams, six sugars?”

“Always,” Randy says.

The plot thickens later in the episode when Randy’s new love interest is kidnapped, and the team has to help him.

The Rookie airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Streams next day on Hulu.
