Sony is joining the Summer Game Fest fray with a new State of Play showcase coming on Wednesday, June 4. Sony Interactive Entertainment promises “news and updates on must-play games coming to PS5,” during the event, with “a selection of great games from creators across the globe.”

The new State of Play showcase will stream at 2 p.m. PST/5 p.m. EST/11 p.m. CEST on PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels. The show is expected to run about 40 minutes, Sony said in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

Sony’s most recent State of Play aired in February, and featured games like Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. June’s State of Play could give us some updates on other titles revealed at that show, including Housemarque’s Saros, and upcoming titles like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Marathon, and Ghost of Yotei.

Of course, we’re still starved for information on Insomniac Games’ Wolverine, Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and Haven Studios’ Fairgames, so they’re possible candidates too. From third-party partners, we’re likewise waiting on updates on the next Final Fantasy 7 Remake game and Kingdom Hearts 4 from Square Enix, and Pragmata and the next Resident Evil from Capcom.
