Sony has sneakily debuted two new PlayStation 5 slim bundles that include a download voucher for the beloved platforming game Astro Bot (Astro’s Playroom still comes pre-installed) and will launch on March 13. The consoles lack any sort of unique Astro Bot-themed design — not even the tough-to-find limited edition Astro Bot DualSense is included — but I suppose all is forgiven, because both the disc-based and digital-only consoles are $50 cheaper than their stand-alone counterparts. You’ll pay $449.99 or $399.99, respectively, bringing the costs in line with Black Friday prices.

I’ve wished for an Astro Bot PS5 bundle since the game launched last year. It’s a phenomenal game, the winner of many game of the year awards (it ranked second in our list, losing only to Balatro), and it’s great to see a bundle that recognizes the huge impact it made during 2024. Regardless of whether you want to dig into the game, these bundles are currently the most affordable entry points into the PlayStation 5.
