There’s nothing like the excitement of a fan-favorite return product, especially one that has historically only been available for purchase in select regions. And with warmer weather on the horizon, it’s the perfect time for Sprite to finally reintroduce a beloved remix flavor.
Back in January, we reported about the rumored return of Sprite Tropical Mix, and now only a couple of months later, it looks as though the rumors of a spring return were right on the money. According to a post shared to Instagram by @teamsupernovafb, Sprite’s fabled Tropical Mix flavor has officially been spotted at Walmart locations in 12-pack form.

“Before you comment ‘I’ve had this for years in (Your city and state)’,” Tyler prefaced the caption of his post, “while this isn’t a new release, the cans are newly returning and rolling out nationwide!”
For those unfamiliar with the beloved flavors of Sprite Tropical Mix, a product description on Sprite’s website describes the flavor as an ode to our past for all the Sprite Remix fans from the early 2000s” that features a “combination of the crisp, familiar Sprite lemon-lime taste with delicious strawberry and pineapple flavors.”

“This is much different than Tropical 7-Up. Tropical 7-Up is Peach Mango and Tropical Mix Sprite is Strawberry and Pineapple,” Tyler explains in his post. “It is one of my favorite Sprite flavors and I am so glad to have it back.”
In addition to the recently spotted 12-pack 12-ounce can offering, Sprite Tropical Mix is also rumored to be sold in 20-ounce bottles. However, those who fancy zero-sugar versions of their favorite sodas are in for a disappointment, as the Tropical Mix flavor will reportedly not be sold in Zero Sugar form.

Despite some fans expressing disappointment in the lack of zero sugar options, others are very excited to see what Sprite has in store next. “Dream come true,” one commenter wrote in response to Tyler’s post online, “I’ve been paying drug prices for these bottles on Amazon. Now the question remains, will we get lucky with the other two remix flavors for a limited comeback?”
Only time will tell what Sprite has planned for the future of the brand, but if 2025 continues down this track of experimental flavors and fun collaborations, we can’t imagine a future that doesn’t hold a few more special releases at least.
