St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has opened its first hotel in Serbia, The St. Regis Belgrade. This marks a significant milestone for the brand, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year. The hotel was developed by Abu Dhabi-based investment and real estate firm Eagle Hills and designed by international design company Skidmore, Owings & Merrill Global (SOM).
The St. Regis Belgrade, a 42-story tower, is located at the meeting point of the Sava and Danube rivers and within walking distance of historical sites, diplomatic areas, and the business district. The hotel is part of an urban revitalization project expected to attract local and international visitors.
Helen Leighton, Vice President Luxury Brands & Communications, EMEA, Marriott International noted that the hotel combines the historical and cultural elements of Belgrade with St. Regis’s brand of timeless sophistication, offering a unique experience to guests.
The hotel’s design reflects the city’s architectural heritage, blending traditional Serbian patterns with modern design elements. The fluidity of the city’s two rivers is mirrored in the tower’s exterior glass shell, while the interior is a blend of deep blues, soft grays, and warm earth tones.
The hotel offers 119 guest rooms, including 17 suites and a Presidential Suite. The sophisticated design features an elegant palette of soft and warm earth and blue colors. Some suites feature exclusive designs by Serbian artists and designers.
The hotel’s dining options include Savant Brasserie, which offers sophisticated interpretations of classic dishes using locally sourced ingredients, and Rise Patisserie, which celebrates Belgrade’s rich coffee culture. The St. Regis Bar offers a selection of Serbian wines, brandies, and international classics.
Additional facilities include The St. Regis Spa, which features an indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, and gym. The hotel also offers a 710 sqm meeting space with a glass-wrapped ballroom and other meeting rooms for more intimate gatherings.
The St. Regis Belgrade will continue the brand’s traditions, such as Afternoon Tea, Evening Sarage and the Bloody Mary cocktail, with a local twist, featuring Serbia’s famous quince rakija.
