St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has announced the launch of St. Regis Estates, with The Resort at Pelican Hill set to become the first property under this new brand in 2027.
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is introducing a new brand, St. Regis Estates, focused on properties with significant historical and natural value. The first property to be transformed under this new brand will be The Resort at Pelican Hill, located on the Newport Coast. The transformation is scheduled for completion in 2027.
The Resort at Pelican Hill spans over 500 acres and features architecture inspired by the Italian Renaissance of the 16th century. The site includes residential-style bungalows and villas, as well as two 36-hole golf courses designed by Tom Fazio. As part of its transition to a St. Regis Estate, the resort will undergo several enhancements. These include updates to the golf courses, redesigns of all accommodations, and the introduction of a new culinary experience led by a renowned chef.
Additional planned enhancements at Pelican Hill include a renewed Coliseum Pool, a Roman-style colonnade at The Spa, and the debut of the Bella Vista Pool Caffè and Social Club. An elevated Villa Clubhouse will also be introduced to cater to guests seeking extended stays. The resort will offer signature St. Regis services, such as Butler Service and Afternoon Tea, tailored to reflect the local California context.
The transformation of Pelican Hill into a St. Regis Estate marks the beginning of a new era for the property, one that aims to provide a deeply residential resort experience. The resort’s bar will be redesigned to feature a commissioned mural highlighting the estate’s unique location.
The introduction of St. Regis Estates marks a strategic move by St. Regis Hotels & Resorts to expand its portfolio with properties that emphasize heritage and natural surroundings. The brand aims to offer guests an experience that combines cultural and culinary elements with architectural grandeur.
