Just hours after Stefon Diggs stood before a Boston judge and pleaded not guilty to assault charges on Friday, February 13, the woman accusing him of choking her made it clear she’s not backing down.
Mila Adams, who previously worked as Diggs’ personal chef, shared a written statement addressing both the court proceedings and the growing online speculation surrounding the case. Without referencing the athlete directly, she emphasized that her decision to come forward was not about attention or money.
“I would never make false claims for personal gain or to damage someone’s reputation,” Adams wrote in a statement per TMZ, adding that she “reported this matter through the proper legal channels” and did not seek publicity. She described the case as an “active criminal matter” and said she plans to “continue to respect the legal process” rather than engage in back-and-forth online.
Adams also directly addressed rumors that she is negotiating a payout. “I have never sought money nor engaged in settlement discussions to settle this matter, statements suggesting otherwise are harmful and untrue,” she stated.

Diggs, 32, has denied the allegations. Following Friday’s hearing, his legal team told reporters, “We’re confident that after the facts and evidence are reviewed in this case, he will be completely exonerated.” The wide receiver is due back in court on April 1.
The assault case is not the only legal issue hovering over Diggs. He is also facing a separate civil lawsuit from a former associate who claims the NFL star defamed him after a Ferrari was stolen during transport.
Outside the courtroom, Diggs’ personal life has also been under a microscope. Rumors of a split between him and Cardi Bintensified after the pair reportedly unfollowed each other on social media following the Super Bowl. Around the same time, the Grammy winner made headlines for treating herself to a nearly $500,000 Audemars Piguet watch, calling it “a little gift for me from me” as she prepares for her upcoming Little Miss Drama Tour.
Neither has publicly addressed the status of their relationship at this time or responded to Parade’s request for comment.
