The International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), in partnership with the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) awarded Stella Blythe, Director, Hotels and Hospitality, Asia at CBRE, with the Rising Star Award Asia Pacific during the HICAP event on 17 October 2024.

With over a decade of experience, Stella has a proven track record in hospitality and real estate, spanning transactions, capital markets, valuation and consultancy. Her deep market knowledge has enabled her to advise on high-profile deals, including the sale of a 300-key Singapore hotel and a 120-villa Maldivian resort in 2023.

Prior to joining CBRE, Stella spent seven years at Savills, initially at the Global Headquarters in London in a valuation role handling sizable valuations and hospitality advisory assignments across EMEA, before moving to Singapore in 2019 and changing her focus to brokerage and investment sales in Asia.

Stella holds memberships with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Singapore Council for Estate Agencies (CEA). Additionally, she holds a Masters with distinction in Real Estate from London South Bank University and a Bachelor of Arts from King’s College London. Stella is a keen advocate for diversity and women’s empowerment and is one of the founding members of the Inspiring Women in Hospitality group.

“Stella has been proactive in taking on an active role in hotel industry events, presenting market insights on the APAC hospitality market to audiences ranging from 30 to 500 persons in size. She moderates multiple industry panel discussions and most recently, participated in the HICAP Hong Kong panel as a Maldives industry expert and moderated the Singapore panel discussion. ISHC launched the Rising Star Award Asia in 2014 in partnership with HICAP to recognize young, emerging leaders in the Asia hospitality community. Nomination criteria require an individual be 35 years or younger, currently working and living in Asia and working in the hospitality development and/or investment field. Past Rising Star Award Asia recipients include Vicky Jian (2023), Calvin Li (2022), Siddhant Jhunjhunwala (2021), Corey Hamabata (2020), Daniel Yip (2019), Kieran Bestall (2018), Peter Harper (2017), Kiichi Mashita (2016), Nihat Ercan (2015) and Christopher Hur (2014).
