There’s no doubt that Toronto’s Ossington strip has become the place to be on a night out. Whether it be for an evening of bar hopping, shopping or trying Michelin-starred restaurants, Ossington Ave is booming and we love to see its growth. And on that note, there are more openings coming to the popular street and among them is the delicious steakhouse, Linny’s. Here’s what to know.

Mid-century steakhouse meets old-world deli! Linny’s is the newest steakhouse on Ossington, offering classics like broiled dry-aged steaks and deli staples like hand cut pastrami, karnatzel and chicken liver toast.

Linny’s is named after Co-Owner and Culinary Director, David Schwartz’s mother Linda, according to the restaurant.

Linny’s is a tribute to my late mother, but this restaurant is also largely about the culinary traditions passed down to me by my entire family; these traditions embody much more than just what’s on the dinner plate,” shared Schwartz.

“I hope for Linny’s to be the kind of place where guests will feel the same comforts they feel in their own homes.”

Schwartz is also the name behind Toronto’s elevated establishments, MIMI Chinese and Sunnys Chinese.

The gorgeous new restaurant is now open and welcomes all to enjoy its culinary creations Tuesdays to Saturdays, 5 PM until close.

Linny’s is located at 176 Ossington Ave.

But that’s not all!
