Target Is Selling $30 Plus-Size Faux Leather Ankle Pants Similar to Bloomingdale's and REVOLVE Styles Over 7x the Price

The look and concept of leather pants are pretty intriguing, but just thinking about how uncomfortable or tight they might feel might cause some hesitation. That’s where looser faux leather pants come in handy, and Target has a pair that are pull-on and run big. And that’s nice for us plus-size girls who don’t want to show off every curve and panty line. Plus, these Target ankle pants are very similar to styles at REVOLVE and Bloomingdale’s that only come in straight sizing and are seven times the price.

Target is selling their Women’s High-Rise Faux Leather Tapered Ankle Pull-On Pants from their in-house brand, A New Day, for $30. As with many items at Target, the name says it all; these are high-waisted pants that are looser near the hips and then taper down to the ankle. And since they’re ankle length, they’re not meant to be super long (sorry for people with long legs). And again, they’re pull-on pants with an elastic waistband that also has drawstrings to adjust how tight they are.

Women’s High-Rise Faux Leather Tapered Ankle Pull-On Pants – A New Day, $30 at Target

The pair of pants comes in three colors—black, green and tan—and sizes XS through 4X. Even though some of the plus sizes are currently sold out, the fact that this runs one to two sizes big means that you might be able to snag an XL or XXL that fits well. Since they’re faux leather, that means they’re made from 100% polyurethane (meaning there’s no stretch, either).

Even though there aren’t a ton of reviews, it still has 4.5 stars from 22 ratings and the top ones seem to really like these pants.

“LOVE the fit, but size down!” one shopper said. “I thought I’d be a Large because I’m curvy and have big hips, but the material is very forgiving. The Medium was perfect!”

Another reviewer wrote that they “loved these the minute” they spotted them on the website, though they did note that they had to size down to get a flattering look, but once they did, the fit was “perfect.”

“Can’t wait to style these this fall,” they said. 

Bella Dahl Chelsea Pocket Jogger, $216 at REVOLVE

As we mentioned before, these Target pants are similar to the Bella Dahl Chelsea Pocket Jogger, which is currently $216 at REVOLVE. These have a similar silhouette: an elastic waistband to pull on with a drawstring closure and tapered legs. They do have elastic cuffs at the ankles and seem to fall even higher up on the leg, based on the model. They’re made out of 80% Tencel lyocell, 38% cotton and 2% spandex. 

HUE Faux Leather Pants, $68 at Bloomingdale’s

Target’s pants are also even more similar to the HUE Faux Leather Pants, which are $68 at Bloomingdale’s. They’re almost the exact same design with an elastic waistband and drawstring closure. And while the style is very similar too, they have more of a straight leg, not a tapered one. They are also faux leather, though, made of 95% polyester and 5% spandex.

So if you’re looking for some comfortable, not-tight-fitting faux leather pants that are plus-size-girl friendly, Target’s Women’s High-Rise Faux Leather Tapered Ankle Pull-On Pants are worth checking out.
