With winter rapidly approaching, staying warm is at the forefront of everyone’s mind. And a great way to beat the cold is with a cozy, knitted pullover—they are incredibly versatile and easy to layer. Best of all, they add warmth without the “bulky” feel of a big coat. One of Target’s latest pullover sweaters offers all of this (and more). Plus, it’s similar to Anthropologie and Everlane styles, which are almost five times the price!

Target’s Quarter-Zip Collared Pullover Sweater, by Universal Thread, is currently $30 and comes in two different colors: cream and dark gray. It’s also available in multiple sizes, from XS to 4X. With its collared neck and “super soft” material, you’ll be amazed at its quality and affordable price.

Universal Thread’s Quarter-Zip Collared Pullover Sweater, $30 at Target

Target

With its stylish design, there’s a lot to love about this pullover. It features a classic “shaker-knit” pattern and is made from a heavyweight blend of 68% recycled polyester, 30% cotton and 2% spandex. This gives it a warm and somewhat stretchy feel. It also comes with a quarter-length zippered front, ribbed cuffs and a long, tuckable length.

One reviewer loved how the sweater was both “stylish” and “warm.” Another described how it was “super soft” but warned that the pullover wasn’t true to size (especially in the sleeves). As they noted in their review, “I got a large and it does have a bit of an oversized fit to it, and the sleeves are huge. I have to bundle it a bit by my wrist or it drops over my fingertips.” With its relaxed, “loose fit” design, this is definitely something to keep in mind when shopping for this top.

Maeve Fitted Half-Zip Sweater, $118 at Anthropologie

Anthropologie

As we mentioned above, Target’s sweater is comparable to the Maeve Fitted Half-Zip Sweater. It costs $118 at Anthropologie and comes in four different colors, including red, ivory, neutral and chocolate. It also features a half-zip collar and is made from 64% viscose and 36% nylon.

With its crisp cuts, ribbed texture and “playful polish,” there’s no denying the similarities between these two styles. Both are “tuckable” (thanks to their longer length) and have longer sleeves, which can be rolled if needed. The biggest difference between them is their size. While the Target option is more “loose fit,” the Anthropologie one is both snug and true to size. According to one reviewer, it is “fitted but not tight or restrictive,” meaning it’s quite comfortable to wear.

The Half-Zip Sweater in Luxe Merino, $148 at Everlane

Everlane

Target’s pullover also resembles this Half-Zip Sweater in Luxe Merino. It costs $148 at Everlane and comes in 10 different color options. Like the Universal Thread sweater, it features a half-zip collar and rib-like knit. It’s also available in multiple sizes, from XXS to XXL, and comes in a relaxed, “loose fit” design.

The main difference between these styles is their composition. In contrast to the Target top, the Everlane version is made of 100% merino wool, which gives it a soft, durable feel. Because of this, it’s slightly warmer and bulkier (and will need to be dry-cleaned when it gets dirty). It’s also worth noting that the collar is less pronounced, with a somewhat smaller length.

Despite these subtle differences, it’s impossible to ignore the designer look and feel of Target’s pullover. If you’re looking for a quality top that’ll keep you warm during the winter months ahead, their Universal Thread Quarter-Zip Pullover is definitely worth checking out!
