You can, of course, splurge on real leather bags or designer purses for the name and high-end quality. But retailers like Target are making handbags that are not only well-made but look like designer styles minus the design price tag. And Target’s newer saddle crossbody bag is one of these purses; it is so similar to a Cèline style that’s almost 78 times the price.

Target’s Saddle Crossbody Bag by their in-house brand, A New Day, is currently $25 and has a sleek, trendy style that’s classic and eye-catching. It’s a saddle bag, meaning that it has a round bottom and a flap that clasps in the front. This one is a cute, smaller bag measuring 6.28 inches tall, 7.62 inches long and 2.5 inches deep. It has one main compartment with an interior zip pocket. It comes with a thick strap with gold hardware to match the rest of the purse’s zippers and metal; it’s also removable so that you can change it out if you have straps at home.

Saddle Crossbody Bag – A New Day, $25 at Target

This purse comes in three different colors that are made with different materials for distinct looks. The black/natural bag has a black base with a white flap (with a black strip of faux leather—polyurethane—down the middle). The brown option has a classic jacquard (almost plaid) design with brown faux leather accents and is made with 100% recycled polyester. Lastly, the black purse is the closest to designer options out there with a completely faux leather body (made out of polyurethane) and solid black throughout.

Target’s Saddle Crossbody Bag is clearly a favorite with shoppers who are in the mood for a designer look.

Specifically, we think that it looks like the Céline Natural Calfskin Besace Small 16 Tan, which is currently $1,395 on Fashionphile. This Céline purse has a saddle bag design with a rounded bottom and a flap over the top. Its long gold closure is also similar to what Target’s bag has. As its name suggests, it’s made with real calfskin leather and comes in a brown tan color.

There’s also this pre-owned Céline 2019 Small Leather Besace 16 crossbody bag, which is selling for $1,942 on Farfetch. It’s basically the same design as the previous one, just in green. It is made with 100% calf leather and measures 7.48 inches long, 5.9 inches tall and 1.18 inches deep.

So if you’re looking for a purse that looks high-end but that’s affordable and isn’t made of real leather, then Target’s Saddle Crossbody Bag is worth checking out.
