It might seem like an obsessive and bourgeois detail, but the glass you drink out of is just as important as what you put in it. Sure, you could enjoy a bold, robust merlot out of a white wine glass, but you’ll probably miss out on some of the more nuanced tasting notes that make it such a popular choice of vino. Do you really need a decanter? No, but a trained palate can tell the difference between wine that’s been properly oxidized and one that hasn’t. It’s extra in the best way possible.

While we’re not all pining to become the world’s greatest sommelier, there’s some merit to the idea that the vessel is just as important as its contents. Whether to enhance the characteristics of your chosen beverage or purely for the aesthetic, the right glassware can truly enhance your drinking experience. In addition to highlighting less prominent flavors, stunning glassware has the ability to change our mood. A long, satuesque stem attached to the most bulbous bowl you can find? We’re swooning.

You can go for ultra-luxe high drama or opt for something with a bit more color and style than your typical drinkware. Luckily, Target always has exactly what we’re looking for, and you might mistake it for an identical designer style nearly four times the price. The ever-popular cheap-chic retailer added a 4-Pack Set of Striped Stemless Wine Glasses by Sun Squad to stores, and they’re a perfectly colorful addition for cocktails on the patio season.
Sun Squad Striped Stemless Wine Glasses 4-Pack, $10 at Target
Included in the set, you’ll get four 14-ounce wine glasses with red, blue, yellow, and green stripes. The glasses are made of durable plastic material, making them great for use outdoors, and their stemless design makes them easier to hold, which equals fewer drops and spills. Best of all, you’ll only have to part with $10 to get the whole set, which is considerably less than the $39 price of a similar set from Mark & Graham.
The only notable difference between the two is that the more expensive ones can hold up to 20-ounces of liquid, but we’ll compensate by having more than one glass. Who knew wine glasses could be such a hot topic?
