Sunday night at the Bell Centre was one for the books, and it sounds like Canadian pop superstar Tate McRae definitely felt the love from Montrealers.
On Sunday, August 24, McRae stopped in Montreal as part of her Miss Possessive Tour — and the city seems to have left a lasting impression.
The Calgary-born pop star, who’s been making serious waves both at home and internationally, seemed genuinely moved by the city’s love.
After Sunday night’s show, she took to Instagram to share a message with her Montreal-based fans: “Montreal, I think that was the loudest crowd I’ve ever heard. I love you so much.”

It’s high praise from the Canadian too, as this show followed performances in Vancouver (August 5), Edmonton (August 7), Winnipeg (August 9), Toronto (August 19) and Ottawa (August 22).
As part of this same tour, she’s also recently performed in iconic cities like Buenos Aires, Madrid, Paris, London (U.K.), Zurich and many more.
And it seems like McRae wasn’t the only one whose ears were left ringing into the early hours of Monday morning. In several fan-shot videos, the Montreal audience is so loud you can barely hear McRae singing over them.
Quebec-based content creator Brendan Mikan, who attended the show, posted to say it was among the best concerts he’d ever attended.
“Honestly, my ears are still ringing. I can’t hear anything. Am I speaking loudly right now? I don’t even know, because I can’t hear! For real, I’ve never heard people scream that loud in my life. I’ve been to a lot of shows, but honestly, this was wild!”
Between the wild crowd and the love flooding social media, it’s safe to say Montreal left a mark on McRae. And getting that kind of shoutout from one of Canada’s biggest rising stars? — Well, now we’re just feeling “greedy!”
