While there are only nine new holiday movies premiering on Hallmark Mystery, we’re still close to halfway through the lineup. In the latest mystery movie, When Calls the Heart star Kevin McGarry teams up with fan favorite Taylor Cole to locate all the people in a picture taken over 30 years prior.

What is A Reason for the Season about?
In order to earn her trust fund, Evie (Cole) is tasked with granting Christmas wishes to the people who saved her life on the night of her birth. To aid in her cause, she employs Kyle (McGarry), a handsome local attorney, to track down those who helped and attempts to secretly learn what they might want while maintaining her anonymity.
With Christmas fast approaching, the heiress and the attorney can’t resist falling for each other’s charms as they ramp up their gift giving efforts. But as time ticks down, will she be able to accomplish the mission and grant all of the wishes by Christmas Eve?

Meet the cast of A Reason for the Season
Taylor Cole (Evie)
Cole has been a fixture at Hallmark Channel, starring in popular movies on the network like One Winter Weekend, My Summer Prince, and Making Spirits Bright. Cole’s stepfather is actor Shawn Christian. The two have appeared together on Summerland and Ruby Herring Mysteries. Cole’s most recent Hallmark film was Aloha Heart with Kanoa Goo.

Kevin McGarry (Kyle)
McGarry is best known to Hallmark viewers as Mountie Nathan Grant on When Calls the Heart. He has starred in a variety of Hallmark movies including The Wedding Veil, Feeling Butterflies, and My Grown-Up Christmas List – the latter two opposite Landman’s Kayla Wallace. The two recently married. McGarry recently joined his wife for the Los Angeles premiere of Landman as seen in the image below.

A Reason for the Season premiered on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Mystery.
