Taylor Swift Fans Convinced Singer Shared Release Date of New Project During ‘Suspicious’ Concert Moment

As Taylor Swift finishes off the final leg of her Eras Tour, fans are paying close attention to everything she does, hoping for a clue about what comes next for the star.

While Swift was on stage in Miami, Fla. recently, one specific moment surprised fans, leaving many convinced that the singer revealed an upcoming release date.

During the performance of her song “22” from the album Red on Saturday, Oct. 19, Swift was spotted raising her left hand and emphatically making the sign for the number five, twice. As both Swift and Swifties are known for paying attention to the details, this stuck out as significant for fans. 

People started calculating, discovering that 55 days from Oct. 19 will be Dec. 13, Swift’s 35th birthday. While there were no other clues as to what this might mean, fans felt like Swift was sending the message that a new project would be released on her birthday.

“🚨Taylor Swift held up 5 5 while wearing a ‘This is Not Taylor’s Version’ shirt during ’22.’ In 55 days, it will be her birthday—Friday, December 13th. She also just performed songs from Debut and Reputation…DEBUTATION on December 13th?” wrote a fan on X. 

One person reacted by saying, “i kinda already knew something was happening on december 13th but this is really suspicious,” as someone else wrote, “i’m pretty sure at least ONE of them is coming on her bday…”

Fans were passionate about the possibility, with responses like, “this would be the best birthday gift EVER taylor please 😭🙏🏻,” and “I BELIEVE IN THIS SO PLEASE MISS TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT DON’T PLAY WITH ME.”

While some fans felt like Swift was teasing the re-release of either Taylor Swift or Reputation, others considered that the singer might be teasing the release of a rumored Eras Tour documentary.
