Taylor Swift has plenty of impressive monikers and cute nicknames, and she now has one more to add to the list: the world’s richest female musician.
The singer just took the top spot on the list as her net worth was updated by Forbes to be $1.6 billion, ranking above another major star, Rihanna. The “Love on the Brain” singer is still doing quite well, with Forbes reporting that her net worth is currently $1.4 billion.

Swift joined the ranks of other billionaires just around a year ago, in October 2023, and her net worth is expected to rise in the future. The publication reported that nearly $600 million comes from royalties and her expansive tour, while her personal music catalog is estimated to be worth the same amount. She is also the first person to become a billionaire primarily on the worth of their performances and music.
Meanwhile, a lot of Rihanna’s wealth comes from her supremely successful cosmetics line Fenty Beauty and the Savage x Fenty lingerie line. Rihanna still reportedly holds the title of the richest female musician of all time since she once had an estimated net worth of $1.77 billion, but it’s possible that Swift is on her way to top this soon too.
Swift is riding high in 2024 thanks to the overwhelming success of her newest album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was released in April, while she is also finishing off her popular Eras Tour at the end of this year.
“Nothing is permanent,” Swift told Time last year in her interview after being named Person of the Year. “So I’m very careful to be grateful every second that I get to be doing this at this level, because I’ve had it taken away from me before.”
It’s unclear what Swift’s next move will be after her Eras Tour concludes, but fans are eagerly awaiting news of her next musical release.
