Fallen Feather has taken flight on Ossington, thanks to the culinary wizards behind The Haam and Saku.

As with many hot spots on Toronto’s trendiest street, Fallen Feather is generating buzz  and it’s all about its delicious fusion of Asian meets French cuisine and breathtaking interior.

“We’re bringing French technique and Japanese fermentation together for an unforgettable modern Asian dining experience,” states a post on Fallen Feather’s Instagram.

On the menu, you’ll find bold starters like olive kimchi and yuk hoe (beef tartare) to kick things off. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, the corn fritters and pan-seared scallops are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. But the true showstopper? The jaw-dropping 24-hour sous vide 30-ounce beef galbi — an experience you won’t want to miss.

Other mains include charcoal grilled dry aged duck breast, mantaiko pasta with pollock roe and a charcoal grilled dry aged striploin served with a salted cucumber salad.

When it comes to dessert, the white chocolate mousse with a tangy yuzu base offers a subtle balance of sweetness and zest, making for a perfect finish while the yuzu infused parfait is also worth a try for its refreshing twist.

As for drinks, the cocktails at Fallen Feather are as carefully crafted as the food. The Herby Berry cocktail is a showstopper, complete with a dramatic puff of smoke that is said to smells as good as it looks. If you’re after something refreshing, the Fallen Sour is your go-to with its vodka base delivers a crisp flavour.

The restaurants decor is a feast for the eyes. You’ll find feathers everywhere, along with gilded gold mirrors adorning the walls and golden cages hanging from the ceilings. It feels like an enchanting blend of Alice in Wonderland meets burlesque.

Fallen Feather is located at 217 Ossington Ave. and is open daily from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
