Celebrating half a century of groundbreaking music, iconic moments, unforgettable performances and rich pop-culture history, the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special will air concurrently tonight on both coasts.

But before the performances begin, the stars will make their way down the red carpet glammed up for the musical tribute —and Parade takes you there.

The star-packed performance lineup for the night includes Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Gloria Estefan, Green Day, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Jimmy Kimmel, Kane Brown, Mariah Carey, Nelly, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, RAYE, Sheila E and Stray Kids.

In addition, there will be special appearances by AJ McLean, Cedric The Entertainer, Kate Hudson, Lance Bass, Reba McEntire, Samuel L. Jackson and Smokey Robinson.

The American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special airs concurrently on both coasts tonight – 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT – on CBS and will stream live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers.
