It’s rodeo season here in Houston, which means the city is preparing their cowboy boots and stomachs to enjoy various activities at NRG Stadium. While the Houston Rodeo Livestock Show is known for unleashing creative carnival-style foods throughout the stadium, local restaurants are also getting in on the fun, with their own lineup of rodeo food and drink specials and new creations. Blossom Hotel: Nestled in the Medical Center, this hotel’s Plum Sky Bar will host a Rodeo Roundup Happy from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7. Emma Jane: Throw your pinkies up at this Harlow District hotspot’s Country Team Time. Held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday through March 20, Emma Jane will feature special rodeo-inspired tea sessions with fried chicken and caviar. Hungry’s: Pull on your cowboy boots before heading to Hungry’s special themed Boots and Brunch on Saturday, March 1. Auden: This contemporary Indian-fusion restaurant will serve its rendition of a fried Oreo funnel cake. Available during brunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays through March 17, this rodeo-inspired dish features crispy fried Oreo dough topped with Oreo cookie bites, cream cheese chantilly, fresh berries, and a chocolate drizzle.
