Wake up, it’s time to smell the roses!
Spring is fully in bloom, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. With the spring comes the budding and blooming flowers of Alberta, and we’ve rounded up the best places to visit to take in the scenery. If you’re looking to get fully immersed in the beauty of nature, you can visit one of these parks or places.

The Muttart Conservatory is well-known in Edmonton for being a tropical paradise indoors during the winter months. Year-round, it holds majestic botanical gardens for everyone to see.
From now until April 26, the feature pyramid is showing off its Floral Awakening series. You will be greeted with the sights and smells of hundreds of bulbs, elaborate tiered planters and many water features.

This botanical park just north of Edmonton is open year-round! Spring is definitely the time to visit, however, as all the snow begins melting and the community gardens bloom into an array of colour.

Opening May 8, this botanical garden outside of Edmonton is absolutely astounding. With over 4,000 plant species spanning over 240 acres, there’s no shortage of plants, flowers, and foliage to explore.

Established in 1967, this garden acts as not just a home for these plants, but a symbol of friendship between Japan and Canada. Maybe it’s not exactly full of flowers, but it’s definitely one of the best places to get outside and enjoy the beautiful nature.

I’ll say it very simply: this is one of my favourite greenhouses in the Edmonton area. It never fails to be a stand-out spot, with the greenhouse being a vast, open space filled with nature’s gifts.
Spring is when this greenhouse really shines, bringing in all the flowers of the season that we all love to see.
