The chill in the air means one thing: it’s time to make some fall desserts. We’re here for all the banana bread, cinnamon rolls, pies and all things pumpkin, but we’re also busy enjoying the season, so we’re looking for a treat that comes together quickly.

We’ll never say no to an apple dessert and luckily food and lifestyle creator @athomewithshannon has the perfect apple dessert for fall and it only takes a few minutes to put together, thanks to canned pie filling and canned crescent rolls. As soon as we  saw her TikTok post we knew we had to make it ASAP. Here’s what you need to know.

To make @homehomewithshannon’s four-ingredient Caramel Apple Pie Bursts, you need canned crescent roll dough, caramel, canned apple pie filling and cinnamon sugar. Start by rolling out the dough into individual triangles, then cutting the caramel into small bits. Then, put one scoop of pie filling on a triangle of dough and top with some of the caramel.

Once the filling and caramel are in place, pinch the sides of the dough together and then roll the dough into a ball around the filling. Once you have the shape right, dip the dough into the cinnamon sugar and place it on a baking sheet. Bake the treats at 375° until they’re golden brown, which should take 10 to 12 minutes.

“I’ve gotta make this. Looks delicious!” someone commented on Shannon’s post. They really do look good and we can’t wait to make these for a quick weeknight dessert.

“This looks so yummy,” someone else said. We definitely see these being a favorite dessert for many people.

We love that this dessert is simple, cheap and easy to customize. You can dress these up with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. You can also swap out the cinnamon sugar mix for a pumpkin pie spice if you want to lean way into the fall flavors. Pears would also be a nice swap-in for apples and we bet adding some chopped toasted pecans or walnuts inside the pastry packets might be nice. You could also whip up a quick and easy glaze (maybe a combo of powdered sugar and apple cider) and drizzle it over the cooled pastries.
