The Elder Scrolls Online is now free to try out until Tuesday, Aug. 12, as a part of the QuakeCon 2025 Free Play Event. To obtain your free play period of ESO, players must visit this page, select their preferred platform, and then simply download the game. During the Free Play Event, players will gain access to The Elder Scrolls Online base game, which includes four classes: Sorcerer, Nightblade, Templar, and Dragonknight.

Additionally, players will receive 24 unique zones to explore and gain access to competitive PvP modes such as the Alliance War and Battlegrounds.

Furthermore, if the player has previously started playing the game during a prior trial event, they will be given the opportunity to pick up where they left off. New accounts, on the other hand, will receive 500 complimentary crowns to spend in the in-game Crown Store.

Bethesda and Zenimax Online Studios first released The Elder Scrolls Online in 2014 for Windows and macOS. The MMORPG was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June 2015, and later for the PS5 and Xbox Series X in June 2021.
