Machine Investment Group and Taconic Capital have announced that The Hollywood Grande has become part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. The property, previously known as Thompson Hollywood, is located on Wilcox Avenue in Los Angeles’ Entertainment District. It features 190 guest rooms, including 16 suites, across 11 stories.

The hotel first opened in August 2021 and is managed by Ten Five Hospitality. It includes amenities such as Bar Lis, a rooftop lounge and pool, which offers views of the city. The design of the hotel was executed by Tara Bernerd & Partners, with architecture by Steinberg Hart.

Bar Lis, located on the rooftop, will continue to operate and host events. It is recognized for its combination of casual elegance and views of the Hollywood Hills. The venue has hosted various DJs and offers a menu featuring cocktails and locally sourced seafood.

The hotel’s location provides easy access to several Los Angeles landmarks, including the Sunset Strip, Runyon Canyon, the Hollywood Bowl, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Boulevard, and the Capitol Records Building.

Since its opening, The Hollywood Grande has received recognition from various awards, including the Sunset Travel Awards and the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

The Hollywood Grande is now part of a global portfolio of over 330 hotels within the Autograph Collection, which is known for its diverse properties. Guests at The Hollywood Grande will have access to Marriott Bonvoy, allowing them to earn and redeem points across Marriott’s global network.
