If you’re a fan of The Jennifer Hudson Show, you’re in luck! On Thursday, February 19, it was confirmed that the beloved daytime talk show has been renewed for another season.
“I could not be more honored to continue this journey alongside a phenomenal group of brilliant producers, dedicated crew, and collaborative partners,” Hudson, 44, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly.
“It is such a joy to connect with people in meaningful ways every day across this country and to share stories of heart and inspiration, all while bringing entertainment into people’s lives,” the EGOT winner, who began hosting the show in 2022, continued. “None of this would be possible without our incredible audience. They are the heartbeat of the show, and I am so excited to take this to new heights in Season 5!”
News of the renewal comes on the heels of some major changes to the daytime TV landscape.
Earlier this month, both Sherri Shepherd and Kelly Clarksonrevealed that their respective daytime talk shows would be coming to an end. Shepherd’s Sherri (FOX) was canceled after its fourth season, while Clarkson’s The Kelly Clarkson Show (NBC) wasn’t canceled, but instead, the American Idolalum, 43, decided to end the show after seven seasons to prioritize her family.
