Jenn Tran‘s season of The Bachelorette is only in week 3 and the competition for her final rose is fierce. Last week, two suitors got into a heated argument over one-on-one time with the Asian American beauty.

And just an hour into this week’s episode, one of her handsome hunks walked away for “personal reasons.”

Aaron Erb, the aerospace engineer from Tulsa, Okla. who butted heads with Devin in last week’s episode got a life-changing call just before heading out on the group date to the race track where he came in second place in a timed race.

Aaron was on the short list for fighter pilot training and got the call to report for training next week. He had to make a tough decision: continue to fight for Jenn’s final rose or quit The Bachelorette pursue his lifelong dream.

“I’m definitely being pulled in a different direction and I gotta listen to my heart,” he told Jenn. “I don’t feel like I’m far enough along yet to turn away from everything else.

“I’ve had a dream of being a fighter pilot my whole entire life. I got a call of pilot training dates…They pretty much said they are not holding these, either you come back right away or the dream is over.

“And like, I wish I was further along where I felt like as long as I have Jenn in my life, like I’m happy, and I’m just not there yet. I made a decision that the dreams and aspirations that I have, I’m choosing those.”

There was never any doubt that Aaron would choose the Air Force over Jenn, and she understood.

“I totally appreciate your honesty, and I totally understand following your dreams,” she said. “I wouldn’t want to be a source of resentment—ever. I think like if this is your dream and you’ve been working so hard for this. I want to cheer you on and do that.”

Aaron could have ended the conversation there but his competitive side got the best of him. He decided to throw an anonymous bomb in Jenn’s pool of potential husbands.

“I care about you and I want you to know there are so many good guys downstairs,” he said. “I’m not going to name names but there are people that aren’t ready. There are people that I don’t think will be ready at the end like you are.”

Jenn pressed him for details but got none. “Some aren’t ready and some might not be here for the right reasons,” he said. She called his withholding “cruel.”

A clearly pissed Jenn walked Aaron out and then confronted the remaining men.

“[Aaron] told me that there are some people who are here for the wrong reasons and aren’t ready for an engagement,” she said. “And I just want to tell you guys that I need you sit here and really think about it because this is my life. I’ve made the wrong decisions in the past, and I’m not going to do that anymore. So, if you think this is not the place that you should be, then you need to get out. Got it?”
