The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort, has opened along the shores of Banderas Bay as Westin’s first all-inclusive property in Mexico. Formerly The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta, the property has undergone a multi-million dollar transformation, including updates to guest rooms, new adults-only swim-up suites, dining venues, wellness spaces, and other areas.
The resort features architectural design by Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos and interiors refreshed by Uribe Krayer and Vida Design Studio. The lobby includes a reflective pool, and the property incorporates greenery, handmade ceramics, woven accents by Mexican artisans, and oak finishes. Original artwork by Berenice Hernández Castro is present throughout the interiors.
The resort offers more than 280 redesigned guest accommodations, each featuring the Westin Heavenly Bed 2.0. The Swim-Up Junior Suite is a new adults-only accommodation with ground-level water pathways and exclusive access to Playa Dip Club, which offers culinary bites, cocktails, and other amenities. Additional room categories include Sky Pool Suites with private plunge pools and ocean views, Wholesome Family Studios with kitchenettes and flexible living areas, bi-level Heavenly Penthouse and Presidential Suite with private terraces and panoramic views, Ocean-view Junior Suites with spa-like bathrooms, and Heavenly Panoramic Suites with yoga mats, lavender balm, and scented candles.
The property features ten culinary and mixology concepts. Gourmet Gallery serves as the social hub with views of 300 palm trees. Dining venues include Flora Bar, Agave Studio with mezcal tastings and chef-curated pairings, Tanto for Japanese cuisine, Palma featuring Caribbean and Latin flavors, Call Me Lalo Taquería, and Organic & Co Café. Sabia is scheduled to open in the coming months.
Amenities include weekly programming, including sound healing, sunrise yoga, kayaking, paddleboarding, Aqua Fit, Fitdance, meditation rituals, and coastal biking. The RunWESTIN route is available along Marina Vallarta’s shoreline. The Heavenly Spa by Westin offers hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and signature treatments. The WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio is equipped with training equipment. The property has two redesigned pools, one adults-only and one family-friendly, as well as new pickleball and padel courts.
Cultural programming includes workshops such as Wixarika and Alebrijes art sessions, Cantarito craft experiences, outdoor movie nights, and evening entertainment including Silent Beats, live Latin music, and karaoke.
The resort has more than 11,800 square feet of indoor-outdoor event space for gatherings, celebrations, and wellness-focused retreats. Guests can participate in curated tours of La Zona Romántica, Puerto Vallarta’s cobblestone quarter with art boutiques, restaurants, and music venues.
The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort, is located minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport and offers 281 rooms and suites with ocean or garden views. The property provides two free-form pools, direct beach access, padel, tennis, and pickleball courts, and a range of water sports, including snorkeling and paddleboarding.
