Soap opera actress Courtney Hope is sharing an update on a beloved member of her family.

After being noticeably quiet on social media for weeks, the Young and the Restless star took to her Instagram Stories to address her recent absence and reveal that she has been dealing with a health emergency involving her beloved dog, Stevie.

As seen in the Instagram clip obtained by Hello! Magazine, Hope, 35, explained that her 16-year-old dog went into heart failure earlier this month, leaving the actress and her family—and even Stevie’s vet—to believe it was “the end” for the pup.

“It was heavy,” Hope said in the clip. “If you know me, you know Stevie, she’s been my girl since I was 19,[she was] my whole family’s first dog, so it’s been a lot for all of us, but as always, [she has] nine lives.”

Fortunately, Stevie eventually “bounced” back and is no longer in heart failure, though she now “needs constant care and attention,” which explains why Hope has been MIA on her socials lately.

“Thank you for your curiosity and your care,” she added to her fans in the video, before adding, “I’m just living life, taking in the little moments and I might not be on here as much [because] I feel like the season needs my full attention, but I love you all.”

Hope is known for playing the character of Sally Spectra on both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, and previously won a Daytime Emmy for the role in 2024.
