Get away from the city and relax at one of Alberta’s best outdoor spa experiences.

Located northwest of Edmonton, this spa and camping getaway is surrounded by 80 acres of northern boreal forest. Bordering beautiful natural forestry, the Wilderness Nordic Spa is designed for deep relaxation and rejuvenation. This experience invites guests to release toxins, reconnect with their thoughts, and rejuvenate their souls.

The Wilderness Nordic Spa is part of the Woods Experience. This Métis-owned and operated experience is an Indigenous Tourism Alberta destination, focused on bringing wilderness, community, and culture together.

There’s no need to drive far away for a natural escape. The Woods are just around the corner!

What to expect

The wilderness spa features a wood-fired hot tub, wood-fired sauna, cold plunge, and a cozy fire lounge. Towls, robes, and refreshing lemongrass towels are all provided for comfort, as well as a single change room and a composting toilet just a short walk away. All this, in addition to the beautiful forest views.

Upon guest arrival, the spa is fully heated and ready to be enjoyed.

The Woods Experience encourages guests to experience a Thermal Cycle, which helps improve circulation, boost the immune system, and reduce stress through alternating periods of hot, cold, and rest.

Guests are invited for two-hour sessions, where they are provided ample time to move through the cycle multiple times.

This session is exclusive, so don’t worry about fighting for a space in the hot tub. This booking will get you everything you need and more, just for you.

This wilderness spa is the perfect place to escape, to relax, and to get a deep appreciation for everything outdoors. The Wood even offers accommodations in the form of luxurious glamping cabins for those interested in making their trip even more special.
