A new ranking has just revealed Canada’s most in-demand jobs for 2025, and many come with solid paycheques and career growth opportunities.
If the tough job market and
slow salary growth in Quebec have you feeling discouraged, don’t lose hope just yet. Randstad Canada, one of the world’s largest talent companies, has identified the top 15 jobs that employers are looking to fill this year — and some of the roles may surprise you.
“Opportunities are flourishing across diverse fields like administration, logistics, and skilled trades,” Randstad noted in its report, released on February 4. “The increasing demand for digital expertise and evolving industry needs are reshaping the job market.”
With AI and automation taking over certain industries, there is still a strong demand for human skills, particularly in roles that require communication, organization, and technical expertise.
According to Randstad, Canada’s most in-demand jobs in 2025 are:
- Administrative Assistant ($47,000 to $59,000)
- Bookkeeper ($56,000 to $62,000)
- Sales Associate ($61,000 to $81,000)
- Customer Service Representative ($48,000 to $61,000)
- Receptionist ($43,000 to $53,000)
- Office Administrator ($60,000 to $78,000)
- General Labourer ($19.70 to $24.10 per hour)
- Driver ($22.00 to $27.00 per hour)
- Pharmacy Assistant ($43,800 to $50,200)
- Forklift Operator ($21.60 to $27.00 per hour)
- Warehouse Labourer ($21.60 to $27.00 per hour)
- Financial Analyst ($89,000 to $107,000)
- HR Generalist ($71,000 to $95,000)
- Electrician ($35.00 to $44.00 per hour)
- Estimator ($73,000 to $97,000)
Some of these jobs — like administrative assistant, sales associate, customer service representative, receptionist, and driver — don’t even require a university degree, making them accessible career options for many job seekers.
Many also offer salaries that exceed
Quebec’s average of $63,917 per year and the national average of $66,867 annually, which puts employees in a good starting position.
