Raise your hand if you need a vacation. If you didn’t raise your hand, then I envy you. I, for one, am ready to leave Canada’s tundra. Pearson Airport in Toronto announced this winter that a list of new flights was coming for the season, so if you haven’t booked your latest escape yet, now is the time.

According to Pearson Airport, “Pearson continues to expand its global network, giving travellers more choice across Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond. From first-ever destinations out of Toronto to the return of major international routes, airline partners are adding and restoring service to broaden travel options from Pearson.”

For Air Canada, the newest additions include:

  • Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (GIG)
  • Lima, Peru (LIM)
  • Puerto Escondido, México (PXM)
  • Cartagena, Colombia (CTG)
  • Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe (PTP)

For WestJet:

  • Havana, Cuba (HAV)
  • Samana, Dominican Republic (AZS)

For Air Transat:

  • Georgetown, Guyana (GEO)
  • Istanbul, Turkey (IST)

For Porter:

  • Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR)
  • Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (GCM)

And for Flair:

  • Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ)

And I’m not sure if you noticed, but these are basically all warm destinations, so I think it’s a clear sign you deserve a trip out of this -20°C weather.

Safe travels, Toronto.
