We’ve all heard of Bondi Beach and the Copacabana, but there are thousands of miles of lesser-known coast out there which are well worth our attention – you’ve just got to know where to look.

And Planet Cruise is here to help with that. The travel agency has looked at search data from Google Trends and TikTok to see which of the world’s lesser-known beaches are garnering the most attention right now, and it’s shed light on some brilliant destinations.

Topping the list is Ksamil, a stunning coastal village on the shores of southern Albania. According to the study, searches for ‘Albania beach’ have soared by 430 percent since December alone, and Ksamil is a prime location to explore some of the country’s best, as well as the opposite islands, which are a pedal-boat ride away. No wonder Albania’s coastline was named a trending destination by lastminute.com, too.

For water sports and surfing, check out Zicatela Beach, but to stretch out and catch some rays, or if you’re more of a beginner when it comes to riding the waves, try Carrizalillo Beach.
