We recently surveyed thousands of people about dating to compile a ranking of the very best cities in the world for finding love, with Mumbai claiming the top spot.

But love is an open door after all, so we’ve opened our door to another study. French market research company Ipsos has developed a ‘love life satisfaction index’, for which they surveyed almost 24,000 people across 30 different countries to understand which countries are the best for finding love.

Topping the list overall is Colombia, which scored 82 out of 100 on the index. It topped the list for people’s happiness with their sex life, but also ranked in the top five for relationships and feeling loved, too.

Thailand came second overall, with a score of 81 (and claimed first place when it comes to satisfaction with their partners) and Mexico came in third place, with an overall score of 81, too, topping the chart for ‘feeling loved’.

Countries in South America, Asia, and Europe make up the top 10, but interestingly, six of them are Spanish-speaking – could we finally have an answer to what is the true language of love? Read on for the list of the 10 countries most satisfied with their love lives, and check out Ipsos’s study in more detail here
