Fall is a magical time to visit E.C. Manning Park, AKA one of the most popular parks in British Columbia. Towering mountains, a sea of golden larches, and vibrant wildflowers even in autumn – no words can truly do justice to the array of colours you’ll take in here.

Situated three hours away from the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan, the year-round park is home to an extensive network of 38 hiking trails, all boasting stunning views.

With fall foliage already turning, we can’t think of a better place to start our fall road trip journey!

Experienced hikers can embark on the 22-kilometre alpine trail up Mount Frosty, or explore one of the “easy” or “moderate” trails, like the beautiful Strawberry Flats, Viewpoint Loop, East Similkameen, or Lightning Lake Loop trails.

Year-round camping options include the Buckhorn Campground and at backcountry campgrounds (permit required).

Oh, and if you’re looking for the ideal fall getaway cabin, there are rentals available via Manning Park Resort that comfortably accommodate up to six people in a Standard Cabin and up to eleven in a Premium Cabin.

So there you have it, BC! If you’re searching for the perfect long weekend hike, you’re sure to find it here.
