There are grocery runs and then there are Costco runs. You know, the kind where you walk in for trash bags and walk out with a kayak, two rotisserie chickens, and 30-pack of frozen burritos. There is no in between. It’s not uncommon for a quick run for a few things to devolve into a cart-filling shopping spree bookended by a stop at the legendary food court, and to be honest, we’re not complaining. Shopping at Costco is an experience, whether you’re just browsing (yeah right) or stocking up for the next two months.

One of our favorite places to look when we do make the trek to the larger-than-life warehouse is always the freezer section, where goodies and sweets abound, perfect for when the craving for a little treat after dinner hits and we don’t want to swing through the nearest Cookout for a milkshake. They’ve got ice cream bars, sorbet, frozen pastries, and more than a few surprises waiting for you, like this vibrant find that shoppers are calling “delicious.” If you aren’t familiar with pretty purple ube, you might not be able to forget about it after seeing this gorgeous dessert.

According to @costco.so.obsessed you can find violet colored Ube Cheesecake by Sweet Craft Dolceria at Costco stores in San Diego, and fans are going wild. Each box features six four-ounce single-serving cheesecakes with a layer of golden graham crackers and a smooth and creamy purple ube cheesecake layer on top. According to shoppers who have tried the dessert, the texture is more similar to pudding than a denser cheesecake, but overall, fans seem to think they’re delicious.

“Omg, I love Ube,” said one shopper. “Looks so good 😍,” remarked another person. There were a few people who didn’t seem to be sold on the idea of an Italian-inspired Ube cheesecake or the fact that it’s more like a mousse than a cheesecake at all, but dessert is dessert in my eyes. Most importantly, for just $12.99, you can snag a box of these and try them for yourself.  Just make sure you steer clear of the outdoor furniture, or you might end up walking out with a brand new grill, too.
