Sunflower season is almost here and soon, farms across the province will be transforming with beautiful golden blooms. If you live in Toronto, there are lots of dreamy sunflower farms nearby where you can get lost in fields of yellow.

This farm near the city is hosting a magical sunflower festival. The festival features 700,000 sunflowers spread across more than 30 acres and it’s like stepping into a floral dreamland.

There are several events happening throughout the festival, including cut-your-own blooms, picnics and more.

Campbell’s Cross Farm is bringing back its Sunflower Festival from August 1 to 31, 2024. Located in King, the farm is about 30 minutes away from Toronto.

You can wander through the endless rows of flowers and enjoy the majestic views.

There are a variety of events you can enjoy as well, such as picnics surrounded by rolling hills of blooms and paint nights in the fields.

Other events include sunflower yoga and floral workshops. There is also an option to cut your own blooms to bring home with you.

If you get hungry, you can head to the Watermelon Sandwich Food truck and try the “famous” Watermelon Sandwich, or indulge in wood-fired pizza from Fridays to Sundays. You’ll also want to try the signature watermelon lemonade and ice cream.
