Kelso Conservation Area is bringing back its Fall Chairlift Rides on weekends from September 28 to October 27, 2024.

The rides take you soaring through a sea of autumn colours, allowing you to experience the magical foliage up close and breathe in the crisp smell of the season.

You can take the Updraft Chairlift to the top of the red and gold hills where you can soak up some views and even go on a fall hike. The Fall Lookout Point hike takes about 30 to 45 minutes, while the Fall Trail Loop will take you on a longer 2 hour adventure.

Kelso has Limestone Chairlift rides back to the bottom of the hill, a unique experience not offered during the wintertime. As you make your way down, you’ll be treated to the majestic tapestry of fall colours along the Escarpment.

Chairlift tickets can be added to your reservation at Kelso Conservation Area and cost $8 in advance of $10 on site.

Aside from chairlift rides, you can enjoy scenic trails, mountain biking, picnics, birding and boating at the conservation area.

The surrounding region offers several other stunning fall conservation areas, such as Rattlesnake Point and Mount Nemo.
