Paris Fashion Week spotlights some of the biggest, most innovative apparel brands in the world through a series of runway shows, setting global fashion trends on the world stage. This year, a Vancouver-born brand is hitting the runway in Paris, and its mantra is “babes supporting babes.”

If you guessed Brunette the Label, you’re correct!

The iconic Vancouver brand has officially announced its first-ever global runway presentation during Paris Fashion Week, taking place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in the heart of Paris’ Belleville-Ménilmontant neighbourhood.

During the show, Founder and Creative Director Miriam Alden will unveil the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection following her win of the highly coveted Nancy Mak Award.

Presented by Vancouver Fashion Week, the prestigious award recognizes up-and-coming designers and provides the chance to showcase their collections in major fashion markets worldwide. For Alden, this moment represents the culmination of 20 years of hard work in the industry and the journey of Brunette the Label, which began in 2014.

According to the brand, the FW’26 collection is a love letter to Paris, blending Brunette the Label’s equestrian heritage aesthetic with elements of Parisian life. Under Alden’s creative direction and the support of head of Design Magali Blanc, the collection explores “fashion-forward silhouettes, premium textiles, and an expansion of outerwear.”

In a release, Alden reveals that this marks more than just a major professional milestone. Scheduled during International Women’s Month and just days before her 45th birthday, the presentation is deeply personal. Alden adds that she recently underwent a hysterectomy just five weeks before her Paris debut.

“This is, without a doubt, the biggest moment of my life and the life of Brunette the Label,” says Alden. “To be showing in the city that inspires me most, during a month that celebrates women, while recovering from a major health milestone, feels like the ultimate embodiment of what this brand stands for. It’s about showing up – for your dreams, for your community, and for yourself. I am so proud to represent Vancouver and Canada on this global stage.”

The intimate showcase and collection unveiling will be held “off-calendar” at La Maison des Métallos, a historic and cultural hub in Paris. The brand’s own graphic designer and key model, Abby Grimston, will walk the show.
