In his new role, Ilgaz will oversee the operations of Rotana’s properties in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, with a focus on commercial growth and enhancing operational excellence, while continuing in his current role as Cluster General Manager for Arjaan Dubai Media City, Centro Barsha, and Damac Hills 2 Hotel – Edge by Rotana. Ilgaz’s promotion comes as a strategic move aligned with Rotana’s ambitious growth plans in these principal markets.

Eddy Tannous, Chief Operation Officer of Rotana, expressed his enthusiasm for Ilgaz’s appointment, stating, “I am excited to promote Timur Ilgaz to this important role within our leadership team. Timur’s extensive experience in hotel management, coupled with his proven ability to foster business growth and create outstanding guest experiences, make him the ideal candidate to lead our expansion in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. With over 38 years of hospitality experience, including 26 years in leadership positions at properties in Turkey, Canada, the Czech Republic, and Kazakhstan, Ilgaz brings an unparalleled level of expertise and insight to his new role. Since joining Rotana in 2007, he has managed six properties for the group and played an instrumental role in the pre-opening and operation of the flagship Amwaj Rotana in JBR, Dubai. He holds a Business Administration degree from Anatolian University, Turkey.

Rotana currently operates 82 hotels across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Türkiye, with a robust pipeline of new projects in the MENAT region and the international market, including Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
