The Today Show‘s Jenna Bush Hager reflected on her bold haircut and revealed how she likes the bob style one month after she made the brave cut.
“Am I keeping the bob? As of now, there’s no way not to keep the bob because it won’t grow that fast,” Bush Hager, 43, joked in an interview published by Today.com on Thursday, July 24. “But I do like it. I like it a lot more than I thought I would.”
Bush Hager decided to chop off her hair when Leslie Bibb joined her to co-host Today With Jenna & Friends in June. After Bibb, 51, popularized the blunt bob hairstyle during season 3 of The White Lotus, Bush Hager was inspired to try the hairstyle for herself.
Chris McMillan, the hairstylist behind Bibb’s iconic look, joined the co-hosts during the June 16 episode to cut Bush Hager’s hair. “When I was here back in March, Jenna vowed to get on board with the bob. And today is the day!” Bibb explained to the audience.

As Bush Hager prepared to have her hair chopped off, she said she spotted fans outside the studio’s window “telling me not to do it.” However, Bibb was determined to have Bush Hager cut her hair and told the onlookers, “Stop! Go away!”
“Jenna, it’s so pretty! Oh, my God! It’s so cool,” Bibb exclaimed as Bush Hager’s hair was being cut.
Fans finally saw the final cut during the June 17 episode, where Bush Hager admitted she was “feeling a little strange.”
“No, you don’t look strange. You look sexy and powerful and glamorous. And I kept saying it yesterday, ‘You’re a bada–!’ Bibb responded. “But you look so great.”
Bush Hager also shared a video of her family sharing their opinions on her new look. While her daughters Poppy, 9, and Mila, 13, weren’t fans, she shared that her husband, Henry Hager, liked the haircut. “He was like, ‘Damn, that’s hot,’ which was sweet,” she said. “[Poppy] was like, ‘You don’t look good.’ And he was like, ‘She don’t know fashion. She’s 9. She don’t know fashion. Let her go.'”
